Taking care of each other is an essential part of who we are at Masterpet. We promote a safe and inclusive environment that is reflective of the communities in which we operate. By embracing our differences, we create an engaged workforce that drives innovation and quality services for our customers.
Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to changing our world, to one where diversity and inclusion is celebrated and there is equality for all.
Gender Equality
At Masterpet, we actively seek a diverse workplace and are working towards gender equality. We believe through a diverse leadership and talent pipeline we can deliver better outcomes. Empowering our team to access the same opportunities to build great careers, regardless of gender or gender identity, is an integral part of our journey to equality.
Our Women in Leadership program is designed to accelerate the development of female leaders and create a pipeline of women who will inspire, drive results and take on future leadership roles. Furthermore managers have participated in inclusion training, and we ensure representation of gender throughout the recruitment process to help advance women into leadership roles.
First Nations
Our vision for reconciliation is to create a society that is fair, equal and just for all, where relationships are strengthened between First Nations people and the wider community.
As a Group, we have formalised this commitment through our Reconciliation Action Plan. We seek to embrace reconciliation and develop a greater understanding of First Nations people and their cultures. Our focus is on education, together with investigation of career opportunities for First Nations people and the procurement of goods and services from First Nations suppliers.
Highlights of our first Reflect RAP include: leader participation in Cultural Awareness Training and training in Behaviours of Inclusion, implementation of Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country protocols, and engaging our team in celebrations and reflection of dates of significance such as National Reconciliation Week (NRW) and NAIDOC Week.
Flexible Working
With a diverse workforce comes a variety of needs. We support and encourage balance between work and life commitments through a flexible working culture. Our people are empowered to determine how they can achieve the best outcomes.
Flexibility looks different for everyone and could include part time roles, a sliding schedule, working from home, breaking leave into half days, or changing shift, roster or other arrangements. Masterpet team members can access general flexible working options ad hoc or on an ongoing basis, to support their lives, families and communities.
